Powering the next 1,000 years of advanced industry
Co-located nuclear fission power plants for hyperscalers and large industrial power consumers
We sell power, not reactors.
Applied Atomics designs, builds, deploys, and operates co-located nuclear power plants for hyperscalers that require 100 MWe to 1,000 MWe. We serve all energy-intensive, hard-to-decarbonize industries, including steel, concrete, desalination, chemical processing, and more, with dedicated on-site power.
We aren’t reinventing the wheel — we’re updating legacy technology for the modern age.
We minimize miracles by using proven light water reactor (LWR) architectures, which means we can take advantage of existing fuels and secure supply chains.
This leaves us free to focus on the challenge of delivering affordable, always-on power while easing regulatory approvals, making us the fastest to market.
OUR APPROACH
Minimizing miracles in nuclear deployment

Developing More Than Reactors
Our customers don’t want to buy reactors; they want to buy power.
We utilize the same technologies powering every commercially operating nuclear power plant in the U.S. today, and much of the same supply chain.
No new materials, no low TRL technologies, and no new fuel sources required.
We are developing our reactor in-house, but we don’t stop there because at the end of the day, it takes more than just a heat source to make power for your application.
Plants Designed & Built In-House
From design to electrons delivered, everyone is on the the same team. Our team.
Historically, nuclear developers have waved off the rest of the plant as unimportant — that’s why they call it the ‘balance of plant.’ But in reality (beyond reactors trying to harness new physics), it’s the core reason why nuclear hasn’t been affordable or available.
Our engineers develop the power plant in-house, keeping us aligned on our mission of affordable, available, carbon-free power.
In the same way you wouldn’t buy a car and expect to receive only an engine and build the other 80% of it yourself, the same should be true about how you get your power.
Scalable from 100 — 1,000 MWe (1 GW)
Plants produce 100 megawatts of electrical power (MWe) per module, and modules scale from one up to ten.
From advanced applications like hyperscalers, e-fuels production, and desalination to the legacy industries that are the bedrock of the U.S. economy, industrial players need massive amounts of power to unlock the next industrial revolution.
In order for competitive economics to be achieved and to meet our partners’ needs, we provide power from 100 MWe to 1,000 MWe. This allows us to hit the sweet spot on economies of scale.
